Yevgeny L. Belous completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California Santa Cruz in 2005, graduating with a degree in Economics and Business Management. Mr. Belous earned his J.D. from Thomas Cooley Law School in 2009. He has been practicing law for 12 years.

 

For 10 years, Mr. Belous has been practicing exclusively in the areas of trusts and estates, conservatorships, guardianships, estate planning and probate litigation. A large portion of his practice is devoted to representing professional fiduciaries in court proceedings and private trusts. This includes representing professional fiduciaries in disciplinary proceedings by the Professional Fiduciaries Bureau. Caren R. Nielsen has been selected as one of the Top 50 Women among the 2021 Super Lawyers in Southern California. In 2019, Ms. Nielsen joined the law firm of Rodnunsky & Associates. Previously, she was a principal at Nielsen & Rogers LLP and the Law Offices of Caren R. Brett P. Ralston

Brett Ralston brings 15 years of legal field experience to Rodnunsky & Associates (R&A), including 9 years practicing in state, federal and bankruptcy courts. His current practice includes estate planning, trust administration, trust and estate litigation, and probate matters.

Prior to joining R&A, Mr. Ralston represented equipment financing lenders, credit unions, realtors, as well as famous software and cell phone accessory companies. He is also well-versed in post-judgment enforcement procedures, including the recovery of concealed monetary and personal property assets.

Mr. Ralston is a graduate of the University of West Los Angeles, School of Law, where he earned the distinguished Witkin Award in Trial Advocacy and Real Property courses. He is also a graduate of California State University, Northridge, where he earned a degree in Political Science. Mr. Ralston is a member of the Federalist Society and has been a notary public for over 10 years.

Prior to that, he had been an associate at the Law Offices of Caren R. Nielsen, Hinojosa & Wallet, and Feinberg, Mindel, Brandt & Klein. He has been practicing law for 23 years.

Mr. Rogers received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire in 1983 and his J.D. degree from Loyola Law School in 1998, where he was in the top 20 percent of his class. He has been a practicing attorney for 20 years. He has written articles on Probate and Estate Planning and given presentations on topics relating to Conservatorships, Trusts, Probate, Elder Law and Medi-Cal Planning.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. Rogers was the Probate Law Columnist for the Los Angeles Daily Journal newspaper, and the founder and editor of the California Probate News Service, which disseminated information on the field to practitioners throughout the state. He ran this news service for seven years.

Jason R. Vener

Born, raised, and educated in Los Angeles, California, Jason R. Vener received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History, cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2006. He received his Juris Doctorate degree and concurrently earned Master of Dispute Resolution degree from the Pepperdine University School of Law 2009. Mr. Vener joined the California State Bar that same year. He has been practicing law for 12 years.

While at the Pepperdine University School of Law, Mr. Vener was a member of the school's Honors Trial Advocacy Team and presented prepared cases in national and local mock trial competitions. Also, while receiving his legal education, Mr. Vener routinely received the highest marks in his classes including War Crime, Negotiation Theory and Practice, Mediation Theory and Practice, Cross-Cultural Dispute Resolution, Advanced Criminal Procedure and Wrongful Convictions.

Thereafter, Mr. Vener earned a Masters of Laws in Entertainment and Media Law from the Southwestern School of Law and practiced in the areas of Entertainment and Intellectual Property law. In 2010, he joined a boutique intellectual property law firm. During his more than eight-year tenure there, he primarily focused on the representation of clients involved in business, entertainment, intellectual property, and contract litigation and transactional matters.

 

Mr. Vener joined Rodnunsky & Associates in 2019, to practice alongside his brother, Michael Vener, and wife, Shannon Vener. Mr. Vener now puts his extensive state and federal litigation experience to use in servicing clients involved in a variety of probate matters, such as trust disputes, to the occasional intellectual property matter.

Michael J. Vener

Mr. Vener’s practice is focused primarily on trust and estate litigation, and estate planning. He has over 9 years of experience in litigating contested matters. He is dedicated to obtaining justice on behalf of his clients, and ensuring that their rights and interests are fully protected. Mr. Vener has successfully represented individuals in a wide variety of matters, including trust disputes, business disputes, automobile collisions, commercial premises liability, and criminal matters. He has been practicing law for 12 years.

 

Prior to joining Rodnunsky & Associates, he worked as an associate attorney at a personal injury law firm, where he helped recover many six- and seven-figure verdicts and settlements on behalf of injured clients.

Mr. Vener earned his Bachelor’s degree from University of California, Santa Barbara, in Law & Society, with High Honors and his J.D. from Southwestern Law School. At Southwestern, he was a teacher’s assistant in Civil Procedure and an editor for the Southwestern Journal of International Law, where he published a definitive article on internet gaming law. Additionally, he completed an externship with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. He is a member of the California State Bar, and is licensed to practice law in all Courts of the State of California, as well as the United States District Court, Central District of California.
